Lorraine

LorrianeLorraine Swartbooi is a mother from George, Western Cape. She was born on 12th October 1972 and given up for adoption by her biological mother at birth.
After a difficult childhood, Lorraine started to feel ashamed of who she was. She started looking for love and acceptance in the wrong places.
At the age of 18 Lorraine fell pregnant with a her daughter and the baby’s father disappointed her in a way that she lost her self-esteem.
When her child turned 6 years old, she realized that she needed the Lord in her live. She gave her heart to Him and in 2001 she started a support group for single parents in her church.
In 2002 she was nominated by the church to go to America for a domestic violence exchange program. That experience changed her live and improved her self-esteem. When getting back she bought her house through a personal loan from the bank.
God gave her the strength to forgiver her biological mother and her child’s father completely. This taught her to forgive and to depend on Christ completely.

Lauren

LorraineLauren Swartbooi was born on the 12th of May 1990. She is at Parkdene High School. After school Lauren would like to study to become a Beautician. As a child it was difficult growing up with a single parent, and she had to face many challenges. It was not a nice experience for her to move from house to house because we could not afford to stay at one place.
Lauren have been involved in their church from a young age, being part of the Junior Choir and currently she is involved in the Sunday school, youth and Dance Group.
Her goals in life are to be successful, to fulfill her dreams, to get a great job and to provide a stable environment for the family
Her favorite colour is baby blue and, she loves dolphins and any kind of “Boerekos.”
