Missions outreach is a valuable way reaching out with the Gospel message, especially in the continent of Africa, and specifically in South Africa. In 2004, Pierre Bartels had a vision to pursue a ministry of co-ordinating mission teams to South Africa. Out of Africa missions was established and now exists to introduce people to a personal faith in Jesus Christ, in so doing serving the local community and beyond.
Initially small missions teams from the United Kingdom and the USA served in local outreach opportunities such as Kidstop (Youth for Christ), Life community services, Badisa, Christian Medical Service and Relieve (CMSR), and Waboomskraal Rural Ministry.
The ministry has however grown significantly to now include Living Hope Homes, Life Academy, Sports Academy, in addition to ongoing short term missions teams.
Out of Africa Missions operates from premises situated at Victoria Heights just outside of George. This enables us to host larger mission teams, and also to initiate special projects such as Grace Hill House.
